In OmniTensor, the Nodes & Network Management serves as the backbone of the decentralized AI infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and secure consensus throughout the system. The network relies on two key types of nodes:
AI Consensus Validator Nodes are responsible for maintaining the security, accuracy and reliability of the blockchain. They validate transactions, verify AI computations and sustain the network's integrity using a hybrid of Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanisms.
AI Compute Nodes (GPUs) handle the demanding AI tasks like model training and inference. These nodes draw on decentralized GPU power from the community, making the OmniTensor network scalable, cost-efficient and more accessible, while supporting advanced AI workloads.
Together, these nodes maintain the decentralized structure of the OmniTensor network, distributing computational responsibilities and providing secure, efficient and verifiable AI services throughout the ecosystem.
