Scalability

Scalability is a fundamental feature of the AI OmniChain, allowing AI computations, model deployments and data transactions to grow with increasing demand. The platform uses several important mechanisms to achieve this:

  • Decentralized GPU Network (DePIN)

OmniTensor utilizes a global network of community-owned GPUs. This distributed setup allows the platform to expand horizontally, adding compute power as more nodes come online.

  • Optimistic Rollups

The OmniChain uses Optimistic Rollups on its Layer 2 to batch transactions and computations, significantly boosting throughput while keeping security intact and reducing transaction fees. This ensures that AI inference and model training scale effectively without putting strain on the main EVM Chain.

  • AI Task Distribution

AI compute tasks are spread across multiple AI Compute Nodes. This parallel processing supports large-scale AI operations like inference and model training, preventing bottlenecks and ensuring smooth execution.

Example: Scaling AI Inference with Decentralized Compute

# Example CLI to submit an AI inference task across multiple AI Compute Nodes

# Submit the task to the OmniTensor decentralized network
omnitensor submit-inference --model <model_id> --input <data_input> --nodes <number_of_nodes>

# Example parameters
# model_id: 0x5678efgh9123
# data_input: <image_file.png>
# number_of_nodes: 5

# Result: The inference task is distributed across 5 GPU nodes for parallel computation.
