Licensing Information

OmniTensor operates under an open-source framework, enabling developers and businesses to freely contribute and leverage its decentralized infrastructure. The Licensing Information outlines the terms of use for the software, SDKs, and AI models within the OmniTensor ecosystem.

Open-Source License

The core OmniTensor platform, including its decentralized AI infrastructure, SDKs, and APIs, is released under a permissive open-source license (MIT License or equivalent). This allows developers to use, modify, and redistribute the code, provided that original authorship is credited.

AI Models

AI models contributed by the community to the OmniTensor marketplace may be licensed under different terms depending on the developer. OmniTensor facilitates licensing options ranging from permissive licenses (e.g., Apache 2.0) to more restrictive ones, including royalty-based models where developers are compensated via OMNIT tokens for usage.

Contribution Guidelines

Developers contributing to OmniTensor are required to follow the contribution guidelines, ensuring compliance with open-source standards and intellectual property laws. Any AI models or tools added to the OmniTensor marketplace must not violate third-party copyrights or patents.

Proprietary Models

OmniTensor supports the deployment of proprietary AI models, with developers retaining ownership over their intellectual property. Licensing agreements for proprietary models can be governed by smart contracts, ensuring that the terms of use, such as fees or royalties, are automatically enforced.
