Layer 1 and Layer 2 Integration
The connection between Layer 1 and Layer 2 is critical for smooth AI workloads on the OmniTensor platform. The L1 blockchain provides the fundamental security, transaction confirmation and consensus needed for decentralized systems. Meanwhile, L2 (AI OmniChain) manages tasks like AI inference, training and model validation to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Layer 1 (L1) This Ethereum-compatible blockchain is the foundation of OmniTensor, securing all AI-related operations such as token rewards, governance and model registration.
Layer 2 (L2) AI OmniChain focuses on processing intensive tasks, including AI model execution, decentralized GPU work and real-time inference. By dividing responsibilities, OmniTensor benefits from L2’s scalability while maintaining the security offered by L1.
This setup allows AI tasks to grow independently from L1’s limitations, an important feature when working with large AI models that require substantial computing power. L2 enhances these processes by increasing transaction speed and lowering costs, keeping only essential tasks on L1, such as consensus or reward-related activities.
